The History of Nichols Security
NICHOLS SECURITY's roots date back to 2001 when the founder, Joe Nichols started his own company based on a simple idea of giving the customer a security system that meets their individual needs. Prior to starting the company, Joe was a Senior Technician at one of the world's largest security providers. During his employment tenure at that provider, Joe embraced his inner belief that he could improve customer service and satisfaction by stepping away from the growing trend of pushing customers towards cookie cutter systems first, while compromising installation quality and system customization that was not in the best interest of the consumer. The inherent lack of customer service resulted in the formation of his own revolutionary company.
Joe founded his company on the idea that every system should be custom designed to satisfy the needs of the company's greatest assets, its customers. The system would need to be appropriate for the environment it was installed in, the customer's usage and lifestyle, and the needs and desires of the customer. In an industry where customers were increasingly being pushed to buy "basic packages" and one size fits all solutions, Joe felt there was a need for a company that would listen and communicate with the customer, design a system that would fit their needs and wants, and install systems that offered not only true piece of mind, but Real service and Real security.
The company experienced immediate success and grew beyond being a small operation. In 2002 the company opened the first store location in Covington, Georgia and saw an explosion in growth in residential and commercial customers. Seeing the potential for the commercial market, Joe decided to invest more heavily in the Access Control, Fire Alarm, and Closed Circuit Television market. This led to business with local and state govertments and large chain commercial entities. Growth from 2002 to 2007 has been 40% or better each and every year. Relying on its reputation, customer referrals and word of mouth, with little to no print advertisements, Nichols Security has continued to grow at rates that other companies would envy while spending tens of thousands of dollars more to facilitate such a growth pattern.
By simply sticking to the core beliefs that Joe envisioned in the early days of providing Real Service and Real Security, Nichols has established itself as a reliable and secure option in the security market that does things just a litlle bit better than the national security machines.
